Preparation steps

In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with the chopped garlic and finely chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper.

Form meat mixture into uniform sized balls.

In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.

In a saucepan, add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and leave to simmer.

Add the meatballs to the tomato sauce and simmer for about 20 minutes.
