Preparation steps

Peel and cut the potatoes into pieces, then cook them in a pan of boiling salted water until they are tender.

In a pan, heat a little olive oil and fry the chopped onions and garlic until translucent.

Add the ground meat and cook until nicely browned. Add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste.

Season with salt and pepper then simmer for a few minutes.

Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and mash them with a little butter and cream until you obtain a smooth puree.

In a baking dish, spread the minced meat in an even layer, then cover with the mashed potatoes.

Sprinkle with grated cheese on top and bake at 200°C for around 20 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

Serve hot and enjoy.
